PRP Therapy
Platelet-rich plasma therapy concentrates your own blood's growth factors and delivers them directly to damaged tissue, triggering the repair process that chronic conditions need but the body can't sustain alone.
What Is PRP?
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy takes a small blood draw, spins it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets and growth factors, then injects that concentrate directly into damaged tissue. Platelets contain growth factors that stimulate collagen production, tissue repair, and new blood vessel formation, processes that chronic tendon and ligament injuries have lost the capacity to sustain on their own.
How It Works
1
Blood Draw
A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm, similar to a routine lab draw.
2
Centrifuge Processing
The sample is spun to separate and concentrate the platelets, a process that takes about 15 minutes.
3
Guided Injection
The concentrated plasma is injected directly into the affected tissue, often with imaging guidance for precision.
Conditions Treated with PRP
- Plantar fasciitis, particularly chronic cases
- Achilles tendinopathy
- Ankle ligament instability
- Osteoarthritis of the foot and ankle
- Chronic tendon degeneration
