Why Diabetic Foot Care Matters
Diabetes affects the feet in two critical ways: peripheral neuropathy reduces sensation so injuries go unnoticed, and impaired circulation slows healing so minor injuries become serious complications. Together, these factors make diabetic foot complications a leading cause of non-traumatic lower extremity complications.
With proper monitoring and preventive care, the vast majority of serious complications are preventable. Annual diabetic foot examinations are the foundation of that prevention.

Prevention Before Amputation
Our goal is to identify and treat the underlying causes that place patients at risk for limb complications before they occur. Circulation screening, deformity correction, advanced wound care, and risk factor reduction are all integrated into our diabetic foot program.
Diabetic Shoes
Therapeutic diabetic footwear is Medicare-covered for qualifying patients. Custom-molded inserts reduce pressure points that standard footwear creates in insensate feet, dramatically lowering the risk of ulceration.
