What Is Liposana®?
Liposana® is a proprietary fat pad restoration procedure that addresses metatarsalgia and forefoot pain caused by fat pad atrophy, the loss of the natural cushioning under the ball of the foot. This cushioning, which thins with age and repetitive activity, acts as a shock absorber for every step.
When it thins, patients experience ball-of-foot pain that orthotics alone often can't fully resolve, because the underlying cushioning is simply no longer there.
How It Works
The procedure uses a proprietary injection technique to restore and redistribute fat pad tissue under the metatarsal heads, the anatomical location where the natural pad provides its greatest protective function. It is performed entirely in the office, requires no anesthesia beyond a local block, and most patients resume normal activity within a day.
