Chronic Venous Insufficiency
- Swelling in the legs and ankles
- Aching or heaviness in the legs
- Skin changes, thickening or discoloration
- Slow-healing wounds on the lower leg

What Is Chronic Venous Insufficiency?
Chronic venous insufficiency occurs when leg veins fail to return blood efficiently to the heart, causing blood to pool in the lower extremities. Over time, this leads to swelling, skin changes, and, in advanced cases, venous ulcers.
Our Approach
We manage the wound care component of CVI and coordinate with vascular specialists to address the underlying venous disease. This combined approach ensures patients receive both wound expertise and the vascular intervention needed for complete healing.
