Plantar Warts
Plantar warts are caused by HPV entering the body through tiny breaks in the skin on the foot sole. They're often confused with corns but require a completely different approach, and are notoriously stubborn with over-the-counter treatments.
Treatment
- Cantharidin application, blisters and separates the wart from the underlying skin
- Cryotherapy, liquid nitrogen freezing
- Bleomycin injections for resistant cases
- Surgical excision for warts that have failed all other treatments
